Jeanne Anita Mason

August 26, 1943 ~ March 17, 2020 (age 76)


On Tuesday, March 17th, 2020, Jane Anita (Rivet) Mason, passed away in the comfort of her home at the age of 76.



Jane was born August 26, 1943 to Raymond and Aurore Rivet at Notre Dame Hospital in Manchester, NH. Shortly after high school, she married Bruce Mason Sr, on May 5th, 1962. Together they raised two children, Bruce and Penny, in their Auburn, New Hampshire home.



She was a former member of the Auburn Lioness Club, the Auburn Historical

Association and was chairman of the 150th anniversary town quilt.



She loved to tend to her garden and their home was always blooming with flowers and fresh vegetables. In her spare time she was a passionate quilter, and made many for her family and friends. Jane was also passionate about photography and she always had a camera on hand.



She loved to travel, and spent many weeks at her camp on the Baker River in Warren, New Hampshire, enjoying time with friends and family. She loved going to the beach, and to

take her grandchildren, nieces and nephews, to amusement parks spread across New England.




Jane was preceded in death by her father, Ray, and mother Aurore, along with step mother Alice. She is survived by her husband Bruce, sisters Pauline and Pat, children Bruce and Penny, grandchildren Lisa, Sam, John and Nicole, and several nieces and nephews.



A small service will be held at Goodwin Funeral Home on 607 Chestnut Street in

Manchester, NH for direct family due to the coronavirus, 4 to 5:30 on Wednesday March 25th,




For friends and extended family, we will be holding a celebration of life for Jane this spring, date to be determined.



In lue of flowers we request a donation to the New Hampshire Food Bank be made.
